Properties:
Green homogeneous liquid without visible suspended matter and sediment, as their benzoate salts. Form White to off-white powder. M.p. 141-146°C. V.p. 4×10<sup></sup> mPa (21°C). S.g./density 1.12 (1°C). In water 0.02 g/L pH 7 (22°C).

Mode of action:
A potent insecticide, effective by contact and ingestion against a wide range of pests.
Deltamethrin is a non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action. Fast-acting, which stop feeding within hours of ingestion.

Usage:
Crop protection uses include: Coleoptera, Heteroptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera and Thysanoptera in cereals, citrus, cotton, grapes, malze, olised rape, soya beans, top fruit and vegetables. It controls Acrididae, and is recommended against locusts. Soil surface sprays control Noculidae. It is used against indoor crawling and flying insects, and pests of stored rain and timber (Blattocaea, Culicidae, Muscidae). Dip or spray, and pour- on applications give good control of Muscidae, Tabanidae, Iodidae and other Acari on cattle, sheep and pigs, etc.
